Digital Recorders

VCR’s are quickly disappearing as digital recording technology takes over, so if you want to record the images around the home for later viewing, you can now choose a digital recorder which stores the images on a hard drive. You can even add video capture cards to personal computers and record the images to there for later viewing.

There are other camera recording systems where the images are stored off site like IP addressable cameras in the coming years; in this area of video surveillance we will see many advances.
